  19.09.08 - Birmingham tickets now on sale ...

Tickets for TGC's performance on October 25th, at The Patrick Centre, Birmingham Hippodrome, are now available online and from the Hippodrome Box Office - 0844 338 5000.

Advance tickets are priced at £10 and £8.50 for various concessions ... advanced booking recommended!

  01.08.08 - Autumn Tour ...

TGC's voyages around the UK this autumn will take in nearly twenty dates between September and December, with a slight pause in November to record a new album!

The autumn tour kicks off at the Wirksworth Festival, before visiting Ireland and Northern Ireland, ending with the opening show of the tenth Open House Festival in Belfast.  Back in sunny England, TGC are performing for four consecutive nights in Devon, and three in Cambrigeshire, with further gigs at the South Bank Centre, London, plus Birmingham, Hull and Essex.

With support from Jazz Services and Arts Council England, full details for the autumn performances will be online in the next couple of weeks, along with more info on the new album.

  20.03.08 - Cheltenham Sold Out / Symphony Hall Date Change

The TGC performance at this year's Cheltenham Jazz Festival in May has virtually sold out - only a few restricted-view tickets are now left at the Festival Box Office. Big thanks for your support!

Meanwhile, the scheduled Commuter Jazz gig at Birmingham Symphony Hall on May 30th has now been re-arranged to Friday 18th July, as TGC find themselves performing in Barcelona.  However, you can still find the group at Birmingham Town Hall in early May, and at the Tewkesbury Spring Festival towards the end of the month.  See the aptly entitled Gigs page for full info on all upcoming gigs.

 

  23.01.08 - TGC in '08 ...

TGC will appear at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival in May as part of a short spring tour, before the release of a new album and further live dates later in the year.  We'll bring you details of the gig and full tour listings online in the next few weeks, and news of progress on the as-yet-untitled new album! Headlining the festival in Cheltenham will be the great improviser and guitar guru Bill Frisell ... a must-see for anyone with six strings.

 

  11.10.07 - Birmingham Sell-Out glee!

Big thanks to everyone who came along to the recent TG Collective performance at Birmingham's Glee Club ... several hundred of you packed the venue to catch TGC and Ana Garcia, so our extra-special thanks for your support.

  14.09.07 - TGlee! ...

Tickets are now on sale for the TG Collective's performance at The Glee Club, Birmingham, on Wednesday 3rd October.  Featuring new material with special guest flamenco dancer Ana Garcia, doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.15pm start.  Tickets are £10 in advance, and £12 on the night.  Click here to book online, or by phone on 0870 241 5093.   22.07.07 - Oundle Festival ... Face in the Crowd!

If you found yourself in the audience at this year's Oundle Festival, you may recall waving to our budding photographer, a.k.a the violin-sporting Louis Robinson.  Against all odds, the photograph has appeared intact and ready to view online ... if you have a randomly placed red circle around your head, send us an email with a photo of yourself or ticket details, and we'll send you a signed copy of Who Ate All The Tapas? (apologies in advance to the people Louis cut-off in the wings!).  Keep an eye on the website, as any unclaimed faces in a week's time will be re-circled! ... Big thanks for all your support

 

   08.06.07 - Introducinng Ana Garcia ...

Appearing with TGC at this evening's Rush Hour Blues/Commuter Jazz performance at Birmingham Symphony Hall, we're delighted to be welcoming eminent flamenco dancer Ana Garcia for her first performance with the group on several new pieces.  Originally hailing from Valdepeñas in Spain, Ana has recently returned to the UK from performing and choreographing across Europe.  Scroll down the Players page to find out more.

 

  02.05.07 - New recordings online ...

Click your way over to the Sound-Video pages, where you'll find three newly-recorded tracks now streaming in full, featuring new material and ideas for for the follow-up album to Trio Gitano's critically acclaimed 2005 debut, Who Ate All The Tapas?

 

  14.04.07 - Tapas ... A second helping ...

Early May will find TGC in the deep dark depths of the recording studio, sketching early tracks and ideas for a new album.

Recording will take place in the fine surrounds and studios of The Electric Cinema, Birmingham ... plans are for an album to be dropping onto shelves late this year/early '08.

TGC are also working on a new performance collaboration with the splendid flamenco dancer Ana Garcia.  We'll bring you further details soon ...

 

  07.02.07 - House of Confiture - Birmingham return ...

TGC return to Birmingham for their first full live performance of the year, with a Birmingham Jazz promoted gig at The Jam House, St Paul's Square, in the city's Jewellery Quarter.  The full-line up will feature Jamie and Sam on guitars, with Percy Pursglove on Double Bass, Louis Robinson on Violin, Holly Jones on flute, Raykov Butcheski on Trumpet, and Alex Merritt on Tenor Sax.

The gig will be filmed and recording, starting from around 9.00pm on Tuesday 20th February.

Entry is free, which will probably make up for the price of the drinks ...
